Sept. 8, 2021 - Democratic Senate Campaign Fund Chairs Announce New Executive Director

Denver, CO--Today, Senate President Leroy Garcia and Democratic Senate Campaign Fund Co-Chairs announced Madeline Zann as the new DSCF Executive Director. Zann has served as the Finance Director since the spring.

“Madeline has done excellent work for our caucus already this summer and protecting our Democratic Senate Majority is a cause she has been dedicated to since even before she started at the DSCF,” said Senate President Leroy Garcia (D-Pueblo). “We are lucky to have her on board.”

Prior to joining the DSCF, Zann managed Congressman Joe Neguse’s (D-Lafayette) reelection campaign in 2020. In 2019, she worked with State Senators Garcia, Pete Lee, Brittany Pettersen and State Representative Tom Sullivan to successfully defend against partisan recall attempts.

“In her years working in Colorado politics, Madeline has shown herself to be a thoughtful, dedicated, and strategic leader. I know she is exactly who we need to protect and expand our majority in 2022,” said State Senator Jeff Bridges (D-Greenwood Village).

Born and raised in Fort Collins, Zann started her career interning and working as a legislative aide at the Colorado State Capitol before moving into campaign work. She has several years of campaign experience on both Colorado legislative and federal campaigns, working for Congressman Neguse and Senator Michael Bennet.

“Madeline brings a deep and broad experience to the table, and firsthand knowledge of Colorado’s political landscape,” said State Senator Julie Gonzales (D-Denver). “I look forward to working with her over the next year to protect and expand our Democratic majority.”

The Democratic Senate Campaign Fund is dedicated to protecting and expanding the Senate Democrats’ majority in the Colorado State Senate. More information can be found at codemsenate.com.
