Established in 2000, the Democratic Senate Campaign Fund’s mission was to gain a Democratic majority in the Colorado State Senate.  Achieving an 18-17 majority in its first year as an organization has paved the way for the work the DSCF has continued over the past 10 years.  Despite a flip in 2002, the DSCF has achieved, maintained and/or grown the Democratic majority in the Colorado State Senate ever since.  Currently, Democrats hold a 20-15 seat majority.

The Democratic Senate Campaign Fund works in the off-years to identify, recruit and train top-notch candidates who can best represent the interests of their district.  During election years, the DSCF works alongside these great candidates and Senators to give them both the financial and strategic support that they need to be successful.

The Democratic Senate Campaign Fund is an initiative of the Colorado Democratic Party, www.coloradodems.org.  All contributions to the Democratic Senate Campaign Fund are aggregated with contributions to the House Majority Project and the Colorado Democratic Party and are limited to $2,825 per calendar year for individuals, sole proprietorships, LLPs, LLCs and state PACs, and $14,225 per calendar year for Small Donor Committees. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, foreign governments, and non-U.S. citizens are prohibited.  Contributions are not tax deductible.
